Jess Herod and his wife, Marie
Jess is the son of William M. and Anna Trickett Herod
William Monroe Herod is the son of Josiah Herod and Delema Jones. One can see that Jess did not need a roll number to prove he was Cherokee.
Marie Reiter -- born in Germany abt.1895, d. Tulsa Ok 1988. The family first settled in Steubenville, Oh and then came by covered wagon to Oklahoma when Marie was 10 years old. Her parents were August and Margaret Reiter. August and Margaret had 4 kids � girl Marie and 3 boys Joe, Walter and William
This picture was shared by Mike Herod. Herod is spelled several different ways--Herod, Harrod, Herrod, Hearod. Some brothers in the same family spelled the name differently.
