Francis Marion Smith Jr.
Son of Francis Marion Smith and Nancy Isabel Standrdige
This young man's father is Francis Marion Smith born May 1843 and died 1905, husband number 3 of Nancy Isabel Standridge. He is the grandson of James Smith born 11 December 1804 in Kentucky , died 10 January 1862 in Madison County, Arkansas. Nancy Isabel Standridge married first William White and had one child William White Jr. Second she married a man with the last name of FURR in Pope County , no children, no further information on him. Third she married Francis Marion Smith and had three daughters Allie, Dora Arizona, Mae Arizona, and one son, Francis Marion Smith Jr.
Steve Ingle's Grandmother and her sister were named after their aunt Arizona Edwards Standridge--wife of Grant Standridge. Nancy Isabel Standridge was about 16 years old when the family went with the wagon train to Idaho . The story she passed down was that they followed the Snake River for a long way and the trip was so difficult that by the time they got to Idaho everyone wanted to go back to Arkansas . * A note on William White Sr. � After he and Nancy Isabel separated, he went back to his family in Idaho and remarried and had several children.
