William Walton Hinchey
William Hinchey was born October 12, 1825 in North Carolina
His parents are John Hinchey and his first wife, who is believed to be Theresa Jones.
He married Sarah Hensley about 1846 in Searcy Co. Arkansas
Sarah died in 1888 and Walt September 16, 1912.
They are buried under one large stone in the Witt Springs Cemetery
Walt Hinchey @ RootswebWilliam and Sarah lived near Bear Creek in Searcy County, Ar. He escaped the chain gain of Searcy County, but this affected him joining the Union Army during the civil War. His wife and other Union wives suffered during the War from the hands of southern sympathizers. Many homes were burned and murders even were committed. When Walt returned home, he is said to have claimed some revenge on the tormentors of his and his relatives family. Read Searcy County, My Dear!
