Eight more people who have completed twenty-one years service with the Company were presented with gold watches at a dinner at the George Hotel on 24 February. They were Mr. W. F. Driver, Duct Shop, Mr. K. T. King, Tool Room, Mr. R. A. Brown, Tool Room, Mr. R.P. Green, Service stores, Mr. R. H. Holbeche, Sales Manager, Mr. J. H. Berriman, Inspection Department, Mr. C. R. Hewes, Tool Room, Mr. H. P. Sadler, General Foreman. A ninth recipient of a gold watch this year, Mr. R. C. Dick, now in Canada, was presented with his before he went overseas. At the dinner were twenty-three other members of the firm, including one lady, Mrs. Avis of the Winding Shop, who had previously received long service watches. All told, the thirty-two watch recipients present have together completed 829 years service. |
