The origin of the name Warmington

English: habitation name from either of two settlements (Old English tūn) so called. The one in Warwickshire was originally named in Old English as Wœrmundingtūn settlement associated with Woermund. That in Northants was Wyrmingtūn settlement associated with Wyrm, a byname meaning Serpent, Dragon.
