Mary Barker had married William Hookes 4th qtr 1849 Freebridge Lynn RD. At the time of the 1851 census, William was a prisoner in Norwich Castle (HO107/1814; Folio 118), awaiting sentence for attempted murder. She was also living with her sister in 1861, but was reunited with her husband by 1871: they were then living in Keeper's Lodge, Southill BDF (RG10/1552 f50 p6)
