A note: registers of the parish were transcribed from the originals, some many times, by the vicar or wardens, with copies sent to the Bishop. The films which now exist are of these COPIED books. What the originals possessed is unknown; we have to trust to the persons doing the transcription that they are accurate. The spellings are as given; some are "inspired", so to say. So please be sure to check for variables!
We've tried to be as accurate as possible; however, please do check the originals, as mistakes are quite possible. All notations, whether clear or not, are shown; a "C" indicates buried in the Church (within the walls or floors of the building), and a "P" may indicate Pauper, buried at Parish expense, or Private - as in a private ceremony. (Canon Hammond maintained it stood for Pauper, but as he didn't make the notations, it cannot be certain his interpretation is correct.)

The St. Austell Holy Trinity graveyard was full by 1882, and only a few additional burials were allowed. The Parish Council has records for the other community graveyards; they will conduct manual searches for a burial, and cross reference to grave records. They also have the records for Campdown, in Charlestown. Cornwall Family History Society has transcribed monuments in the cemeteries; visit their website for further information.
