JUNE 11-JULY 4, 1895
OWASCO (CAYUGA COUNTY), NEW YORK
Tues, June 11, 1895
This beautiful morning finds me in the little village of Owasco. How surprised Ma and Auntie were to see me. Has been a beautiful day. Also, Uncle James, bro. Wm gave me white waist as it did not fit, Alice. I took and fitted it to myself and helped her make her white waist.
Wed, June 12, 1895
Went to store with Alice and helped select a dress for Mary Ann, pink Shambra. Have been over to Aunties nearly all day. A beautiful day. Bill, Alice, Mont and I played pedro. Finished or nearly finishing white waist. Callie Devoe, Auntie and Ma called to Alice's. Callie took Alice and I for a ride.

Has been pleasant part of the time. Uncle and bro. Wm have been working on the road. Ma and I went to prayer meeting. Auntie does not feel very well. Seemed like old times to go to prayer meeting in the Old church. Good many people out to meeting.
Fri, June 14, 1895
Mrs. Adiance called to get the lawn mower. There was a Law *ostinal at the M. E. Parsonage. Mont almost got run over. Bird got frightened at a bush. Tonight is the first time I have worn any white for long time. Wore my waist. Sent ice cream & cake to Uncle, Auntie, and Mother.
Sat, June 15, 1895
Bro. Wm, Alice Berfman & I went to Marysfield. Found Cora away to Oswego but Ray entertained us royally. Went to the PO for awhile & then to the store. Has been a beautiful day. Got here 5:30, took from 2 to come 14 miles. SEEMES I LIVE OVER THE PAST WHILE SITING HERE IN CORAS HOME AND I AM GLAD FOR HER FOR SH HAS SUCH A NICE HOME
Sun, June 16, 1895
Left Marysfield 11:30 AM. Came home by way of Mr. Devoes. Stopped by and talked for a few min. Did not get out of the rig. Called to Hopies. Allie was not at home. Got home 2 PM. Stopped in the cemetary. Got some strawberries. Alice got some roses. Uncle, Auntie, Salley DePuy, Ma, & little Mary went over to the cemetary where my grandparras are buried. I put one little spray on Ems.

I helped Alice with her housework and also with the washing, Has been beautiful. Then we worked on Mary's dress. Went over to Aunties little while in afternoon.
Tues, June 18, 1895
Alice ironed this forenoon. In afternoon I went over to Aunties. Nearly finished Mary's skirt. Has been quite pleasant.

Have picked currents today. It rained a little. I went down to see how little Benjamin was. He is quite sick. Will not eat anything,
Fri, June 21, 1895
Has been quite pleasant today. Picked currents and helped Alice with the work. Made cookies. Alice, Bro. Wm, Mont & I had game pedro. Then W & M played seven out. There was a festival at Sand beach. Benjamin is quite sick.

The old church had picnic at Conclin Point. Took the steamer and went out to "I think the name of the place was Austins". I had quuite pleasant time with Little Girl. At night they danced. A lovely day but how frightened I was when I found I had been against poison. My, a beautiful day for a picnic. They had Ambroshia.
Sun, June 23, 1895
Attended services at the M.E. Church. Mr. Rogers led the service. In afternoon took ride. Went nearly to Auburn. Stopped at foot of lake to listen to band. I got mud on sleeve of my white waist. Bro. Wm & Wife took Bird & took ride, Bennie is nearly well. Has been a beautiful day.

Alice washed. It has been a beautiful day. I did up the work for Alice then I came over to Aunties. Picked currents & cherries. Has been pleasant. Auntie does not feel very well. I sent her and Mama to bed.
Tues, June 25, 1895
Have picked currents nearly all day. My but they are nice. Auntie told me I could have all I had a mind to pick. Has been pleasant. Alice brought the washing home. I ironed my white waist & some of the plain clothes. At night Mont came & we took seat out under one of the pine trees. Auntie is nearly sick today.

Auntie, Ma and I went calling. Mrs. Rogers was gone. The Broadhead girls were at home.

TODAY I AM 37 YRS. MY HOW TIME FLYS FAST.
Has been quite pleasant all day. Have picked good many currents. Went after the Dr. for Uncle James. It was 1 AM, not very dark but I jumped in ditch, ha ha ha. My but Uncle was sick. The Dr. stayed until 5 AM. I lyed down on lounge little while. Another night to be remembered. HOW OFTEN I DID THINK OF MY BB. + ALL THE YRS GON BY IN WAITING FOR SOME WORDFri, June 28, 1895
Uncle has rested quite comfortable but did not feel like talking. The doctor came up to turie (?). Mr. Rogers and some others called to see how Uncle was. I picked currents for supper. Has been quite pleasant.
Sat, June 29, 1895
Have been nearly sick all day.. My but I do feel so lonesome. Uncle went to the barn this morning & a stitch took him in the back. Could scarcely straighten. The Dr. Came. I took ride. Went over to Mandanna. Was a meeting at the school house. I would judge by the number of teams up there. Got hom 9 PM. Beautiful night.

Today Bro. John is 39 years old. Attended services this AM. In afternoon went to Lake. Drove over to Olive Parkers. Had very ples. call. Uncle James is very little better. Has been cloudy.

Took walk down the lane. I look at the wheat. My mind was far away.

Left Auntie this morning 7 O'clock. Reached Port Byron 10 AM, just in time to see the parade. Took 11:20 AM for Lyons reaching there in time to get dinner. Went on the grounds just as the first race commenced. Met Leam the first one then the rest in little while. Has been a beautiful day. Y* did not have any horses on the hack I knew. Got out to Annie's 1 O'clock in morn.
