Gottlieb's family may trace back to a "Stotzer Watch Company" somewhere in Switzerland.

Gottlieb may have been either found hung dead from a brake handle on a railroad boxcar (there may be a short article on the incident in the August 1912 Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper about this) but actually, probably died of "consumption" (tuberculosis).

Freda Reust Stotzer married Carl F. ("Fred" or "Fritz") Kampfer (b. 12/26/1890-Germany? d. May 1968-Lakewood, OH) in January 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio. They lived with Fred Stotzer in Cleveland and later in Westlake, Ohio. All three are buried at West Park Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.

Copies of the birth certificates of the three STOTZER siblings (Art, Fred, Harold) seem to indicate that there may have been a fourth child, possibly born between Arthur and Fred Stotzer. Harold's birth certificate, for example (recorded and filed April 17, 1912) says: "Number of child of this mother: 4" "Number of children, of this mother, now living: 4" Update 2011: I was right-my father had a third brother Ernest or Ernst born and died in 1909 as noted above!
