Johannes Stotzer b. 8/12/1812 Büren an der Aare, canton Bern, Switzerland Emigrated to US after 1849.
m. Maria C. Aebischer (b.7/17/1814 in Switzerland d.2/6/1862 Ottawa County, OH) in 1841.
Johannes (John) enlisted in the C Co. 103rd Volunteer Ohio Infantry Regiment (Union Army) in Cleveland, OH in March 1864. He was apparently terribly injured in a railroad accident in West Virginia with his unit while in transit in Janaury 1865. This accident resulted in the loss of one of his legs. He died in the Army hospital in Martinsburg, WV on April 9, 1865.

m. Anna Margaretha Keller (b.???? d.????) on 12/25/1863 in Ottawa County, OH
Note: Anna already had a child "John Herrington" b.2/6/1859 in Martin Twp., Ottawa County, OH.
Children: John Stotzer b.10/1864 in Martin, Ottawa County, OH
Note: An Anna ("A.M.") Stotzer later married an E.H. "Vagi" or "Vege"on 11/5/1868 in Ottawa County, Ohio.
