UK census returns for 1881 and 1901
The tables detail the number of Suggs registered per county in each census and the number who had been born there. Any difference indicates a migration trend but people were constantly moving
and it is difficult to draw precise conclusions. The figures do demonstrate the steadily increasing Sugg population in London, migration away from the western counties and the gradual scattering of the family throughout the country
during the period covered.

group |
It has been assumed that the number of wives taking the name Sugg balances the number of those Sugg women who had married out of the family.
