Generation Two

 

 

2.  Henry WYSOR (703); born April 15, 1755 in Lancaster, PA;[1] married Barbara Ann Ripseed (722) April 21, 1777 in Frederick Co., VA;[2] died January 12, 1844 in Wysorton (the family home), Pulaski Co., VA, at age 88.[3]

     He began military service in February, 1776 in Frederick Co., VA.  Henry was a Revolutionary War Soldier in the "German" Regiment, a Sergeant in Capt. Berry's Company.[4] He is listed in a land survey as the owner of 120 acres.  A second listing on this survey is for 200 acres on July 15, 1799 in Montgomery Co., VA.[5] He is also listed in the Samuel Hickman inventory on June 28, 1804 in Montgomery Co., VA.[6] and the John Scott inventory record on May 30, 1809 in Montgomery Co., VA.[7]

 

     Barbara Ann RIPSEED (722)[8] was born circa 1755.

     Children of Henry Wysor (703) and Barbara Ann Ripseed (722) were as follows:

         11.        i.    George (4863); born August 14, 1779 in Frederick Co., VA;[9],[10] died May, 1803 at age 23.[11]

         12.        ii.    Mary (4864); born July 22, 1781 in Frederick Co., VA;[12] married Peter Buse Dills (4865) May 21, 1799 in Montgomery Co., VA;[13],[14] died October 17, 1856 at age 75.[15]

         13.      iii.    Elizabeth (4866); born December 27, 1783 in Frederick Co., VA;[16] married Ambrose Grayson (4867) March 28, 1807 in Montgomery Co., VA.[17]

+       14.       iv.    Henry Jr. (4868), born August 7, 1786 in Montgomery Co., VA; married Cynthia Charlton (4869).

         15.       v.    John (4870); born February 11, 1788 in Montgomery Co., VA;[18] died July, 1793 at age 5.[19]

         16.       vi.    Catherine (4871); born October 9, 1790 in Montomery Co., VA;[20] married James Reyburn (4872) October 11, 1811 in Montgomery Co., VA.[21]

         17.     vii.    Jacob (4873); born September 22, 1793 in Montgomery Co., VA;[22] married Margaret Miller (4874) January 12, 1819 in Montgomery Co., VA;[23], [24] died October, 1819 at age 26 when he drowned in the New River.[25]

         18.     viii.    William (4875); born June 16, 1797 in Montgomery Co., VA;[26] married Polly Miller (4876) circa 1822;[27] died between 1830 and 1831 in the Cooke Settlement, Farmington, St. Francois Co., MO.[28]

         19.       ix.    James (4877); born June 18, 1801 in Montgomery Co., VA;[29] died April 1, 1868 at age 66.[30]

     He remained unmarried.[31]

 

 

3.  Elizabeth WYSOR (704);[32] born circa 1756 in Lancaster, PA;[33] married Christopher Trinkle, (721) 1776 in Frederick Co., VA;[34] died circa 1812 and was buried in the Wysor Cemetery, Montgomery (later Pulaski) Co., VA.[35]

 

     Christopher TRINKLE, (721)[36] was born circa 1755. He lived in 1813 where he with most of his children moved after his wife's death.[37]

     Children of Elizabeth Wysor (704) and Christopher Trinkle, (721) were as follows:

         20.        i.    Stephen (1656); born 1783 in Augusta Co., VA;[38] died of “Cholic” (Age given as 76 years, 6 months) on June 3, 1859 in Pulaski Co., VA.[39]

     Christorpher Trinkle was a slave owner. Two of his slaves died in 1857.  Francis, female, 26 died of the "flux" and Amos, 4 died of "dropsey" in 1857 in Pulaski Co., VA.[40] He was a farmer before 1859 in Pulaski Co., VA.[41]

         21.        ii.    John (1028);[42] born circa 1786.

         22.      iii.    Katherina (1030);[43] born circa 1786.

         23.       iv.    Frederick (1086);[44] born circa 1786.

         24.       v.    Mary (1029);[45] born circa 1786.

         25.       vi.    Adam (1095);[46] born circa 1786.

         26.     vii.    Jacob (1096);[47] born circa 1786.

         27.     viii.    Elizabeth (1267);[48] born circa 1786.

         28.       ix.    Margaret (1634);[49] born circa 1786.

         29.       x.    Henry (1089);[50] born circa 1786.

 

 

6.  George WYSOR (707);[51] born 1765 in PA;[52] married Mary Polly Luckleiter (714) March 28, 1786 in Frederick Co., VA;[53] died 1842 in Laurel, KY.[54]

     He began military service in 1781 in Frederick Co., VA.  A Revolutionary War Veteran, George Wysor was at Yorktown surrender.[55]

     He lived in 1787 in Montgomery Co., VA.[56] He lived circa 1800 on the North side of the Clinch River in Russell Co., VA.[57]

 

     Mary Polly LUCKLEITER (714)[58] was born circa 1765.

     Children of George Wysor (707) and Mary Polly Luckleiter (714) were as follows:

         30.        i.    George Jr. (675);[59] born circa 1790.

         31.        ii.    Adam (715);[60] born circa 1790.

         32.      iii.    James (716);[61] born circa 1790.

         33.       iv.    Mary (717);[62] born circa 1790.

     She was also known as Mary "Polly" WYSOR.

         34.       v.    Elizabeth (718);[63] born circa 1790.

 

 

8.  Mary WYSOR (677);[64] born December, 1771 in Winchester, VA;[65],[66],[67] married Elias Shufflebarger Sr. (672), son of Jacob Shufflebarger (692) and Margaret ? (693), September 3, 1791 in Montgomery County, VA;[68] died of old age on March 27, 1861 in Pulaski Co., VA, at age 89.[69]

     She lived with son, Jacob, after 1791 in Montgomery Co., VA. Mary lived in 1850 in Pulaski Co., VA.[70]

 

     Elias SHUFFLEBARGER Sr. (672) was a farmer;[71] born on February 12, 1762 in PA;[72] He lived in 1794 in Montgomery Co. (later Pulaski Co.), VA.[73] and died in 1826 in Montgomery County, VA.[74]  For more on this family see the Shufflebarger section.
