1. William
MORRICLE Sr.;[1]
born circa 1742 in Germany; married circa
1767 in Germany; died 1820 in
Montgomery Co., VA and was buried in family cemetery on his farm, no stone.[2]
He emigrated circa 1768 from Germany to
America. He lived between 1770 and 1790
in Frederick Co., MD. He was Lutheran. He lived between 1790 and 1820 in Montgomery Co., VA (Area is
Floyd Co., VA now).[3] He probably left Frederick Co., MD for
Montgomery Co., VA in October, 1790.[4]
He purchased 92 acres from Hercules Ogle
for six pounds on September 6, 1791 in South Fork (now Dodds Creek), a branch
of Little River, Montgomery Co., VA.[5] In 1796 in Montgomery Co., VA, "1796,
WILLIAM MORUCLE from Obadiah Dickenson, 200 acres south fork Little
River".[6] He purchased 300 acres, survey dated Oct.
9, 1798 in Montgomery Co., VA.[7]
He was a Charter member of the Zion Lutheran Church.[8]

1789 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD; died September
17, 1850 in Floyd Co., VA, at age 79 and
buried in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.[11]

1773 in Frederick Co., MD; married Jacob
Sauer January 26,
1790 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD; died November
10, 1854 in Floyd Co., VA.[12]

1775 in Frederick Co., MD;[13]
married David Weddle November 2,
1796 in Montgomery Co., VA;[14]
died July 24, 1824 in Montgomery Co., VA and was buried in the Weddle Cemetery.[15]
