Connie,
My Tarno lineage is from Asturias, Spain to Cuba in the mid 1800s when my great grandfather
Angel Tarno arrived in Cuba as a Captain in the Spanish Army. After the Spanish-American war ended he settled in Havana and had two sons, Vidal and his brother Manuel who died young in the mid 1940s. Vidal Tarno had two sons, Vidal Jr. Alberto who never had children. I wonder if you could add this information to your website along with my email for any possible contacts. Thank You
Mike Tarno

Marcia researches Adolph August TARNO / TARNOWSKI born 2 July 1870 in Posen, Germany.

Marcia wrote: The family oral history is that Bertha's parents Johanne LOCKSTADT and Regina NITSCH were very wealthy, and that Adolph's parents August TARNOW and Julia LUSTICK were also a wealthy family, but Adolph worked for the Lockstadts as an overseer for her family.  I cannot find anyone in Germany with these last names or names similar.  Lockstaedt may be Lockstadt.  Tarnow may be Tarnowski.
