Mr. Sackett was born March 2, 1911, in Sunfield Township, the son of Henry and Maude (Rhuberry) Sackett. He was a retired REO employee. He was a live member and Past Master of Mulliken F&AM #412, life member and Past Patron of Mulliken OES #161, and life member and Past High Priest of Portland RAM #39. He is survived by his wife, Neva; one daughter, Amanda (Bryce) MacDonald of Vermontville; two sons, Bill (Chris) of Byron Center, and Bob (Susie) of Grand Ledge; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preced in death by his daughter, Vanya Ackerson in 1993. Services were Oct. 30 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with the Rev. John Baumgartner officiating, followed by Masonic services conducted by Hans Huyck. Interment was in Welch Cemetery."."
