My older brother, Donal King had told me of the ability our grand father Johnathan had of being able to sing in such a way that it sounded like more than one person singing. In 1998 while visiting our Aunt Inez (King) Ferrell, she told me of having heard him sing. She said that if she had not known that there wasn't anyone else singing with him, she would have thought that there were two people singing. [T. King]
Cause of death: suicide by hanging. He had suffered severely from asthema in the winter of 1944-45. During the following summer he told his son Elbert that he wouldn't suffer through another winter like that. Elbert didn't realize at the time what his father had meant by the remark. [T. King]
