BROTHERS CEMETERY

This cemetery, also known as SPRING GROVE because of the school once located near it, is in the northeast part of Cooke County.    Edward Brothers, who came from Virginia to Cooke County in 1860 settled near the springs on the creek east of the school.   The site was originally called Brothers Springs.   From Hwy 82, then north on CR 678 for about 4/10 mile.   Located on the west side of the road on private property.  Surveyed 6 Dec 2003 with Gene Tarvin

BROTHERS, Cathern M. *   5 Mar 1856 - 22 Feb 1875
The 1860 Cooke census lists Edward Brothers with a daughter
Catherine, age 4.

BROTHERS, R. *    1873 - 1874

BROTHERS, L. L. *   1869 - 1873
The 1870 Cooke census lists Edward Brothers with a daughter
Laura L., who was 5 mo. old.

BROTHERS, S. E. *   -died 1875

Edward Brothers married S. E. Jones 25 Jan 1869 Cooke Co.
He is with wife, Salinda on the 1870 Cooke census
This is possibly Salinda as he married again in 1877.
