Tarje A. Grover (1831-1895), son of Aslak Tarjeison Skrei of Fyresdal, Telemark, Norway, came to Dane County Wisconsin in 1846
with his mother, Kristi Olavsdatter Lien, his brother Ole Grover and sisters
Aase Graver and Tone Aslacksen Graver.
Tarje married Geline Andrea Kassenborg
(1834-1909) in 1857 in Houston County, Minnesota.
The oldest daughter of Gulbrand Kassenborg and Astri Skj�rstein of
Nordre Land, Oppland, Norway, she emigrated with her parents and brothers Andreas
Kassenborg and Gilbert Gilbertson to Rock County, Wisconsin in 1850.
Tarje and Geline homesteaded in Moland Township, Clay County,
Minnesota in 1874. They raised eight children.
