ROSTERS The source of the Regimental rosters and lists are indicated on each page. Every effort has been made to create an accurate record. Some sources were hand written with various degrees of legibility. The original recorder of each man's name was at the mercy of his own spelling ability and the enlisted man's dialect or pronunciation of his own name and ability to spell it. Several names are duplicated in more than one company. This occurred as men were transferred within the regiment. As companies were mustered out due to expiration of service, many men, whose enlistments weren't finished, were transferred to companies H & I. The quality of those records are very poor and will be the last ones transcribed.
