William
Wells Bamfords Log Diary
1911-1912
Transcribed from scans of original by Jen Wylie
Edited by Thelma Moye
(submitter of diary)
NOTES:
Family located Con XVIII lot 9 on Wolfe Island
William Wells was a farmer on Wolfe Island most of
his life. At the age of 30 he also became a ships captain until a few years
before his death on Oct. 22,1913. In this case he kept
more of a log then a diary as his wife did and because of this he always made
note of the weather.
Also note that he writes the word ‘here’ often as her
and gone as gon and do as doo
and chores as choers.
Please note spelling and grammar is as written. Words
or comments in brackets are transcriber or editors notes.
