South Chicago August the 26 1901
My Dear Brother Alex

As I have wrote to all the rest of the folks I thought I would write you a few lines. I suppose you are having a Big time Driving the horses for father what day did you get done harvesting and has father got a very big crop how many loads of hay did he have. I suppose it keeps you busy tending to things on the farm. I forgott to ask you about your girl how is she. Is their any Ducks along the Shore yet when they come you want to way lay them in great Shape and Dont let Tom Dignim get them all. I suppose he tries to court Janey yet But you want to give him a d(?)iff. in the eye if he comes around much longer. Well Mack as I am In a hurry I will have to close for this time.
