Island Letters

Joanah Lapish to Samuel and Elizabeth Hitchcock 1863

Notes:
Presented to Hitchcock House by Tom Dawson of Wallaceburg Ont. The Uncle Sam to whom the letter is addressed is Samuel Hitchcock who lived on the island at that time and is believed to be a first cousin of Hirem Hitchcock.
The letter was found amongst the papers of John Samuel Dawson (1873-1956) of Blenheim, Ont. He was the grandson of Samuel Hitchcock.

Harriet is the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Hitchcock.
Thomas is possibly the Thomas who is son of Samuel and Elizabeth Hitchcock.
