Wolfe Island June 28 Dear Nell, I guss you will think I am a long time writeing you a letter but I have been busy since I came home. Mrs Horn had dinner ready that day when we got over thair So we had to Stay thair to dinner and George sent his man after us and beleve thair was some mud on the road. Nina and Gladys came the day before. Nina went back to Watertown to day. I was Sorry to hear Irenes nerves ware bad again whish I could heard how she was to day. Lillie went down the Island yesterday to Stay till Thursday. Aunt Ratchel called up to ask after Irene since I came home I wondered if you ware down to the camp yesterday it was Such a nice day how is the quilt comeing have you done any more to it. I got some Gingham down to the Cape that day I have not done any Sewing Since I came home. Nina made herself two dresses while hear. I was wondering if the doctor went to See Irene every day have you been up to the pine plains Since I came home. I Suppose Olive is sewing I wish I was thair to help her I have been lonesome to See you wish I could peep in to night and have a little visite. We went for a Car ride yesterday afternoon up above hear to a Sand beach and Minnie and Gladys took off thair Shoes and Stockings and played in the Sand. Dot and I have to wash tomorrow we could not wash to day to much doing. Thought we would wait till Nina got away. Dot�s Sister is Sick and they Phoned to Dot a week ago. this morning and She went out thair on the afternoon train the Same had had to go to Kingston in the Ice boat. She left Minnie with us So you See I have to be Mother as well as Grandma these days She had been So good has not been any trouble at all She Sleeps with me. We didn�t get any mail on Saturday at all it was to bad to go with the Ice Boat but they want to day the Steam boat is going to try and get out tomorrow I will be So glad to See Spring again I haven�t done much Sewing Since Dot went away Minnie Seams to take up So much of our time. Florence writes She miss Lillie and I this Spring So much She Said Evard Dixon wanted her to write the Aunties to come back and he told her to write to day Florence said they ware Still talking about comeing East next fall I do hope they do. tell Olive I whish I ware going to be thair in the Easter holidays and we would do Some Sewing and fancy work like enough you would get your dress made know knowing what we would do. like enough get that quilt quilted. write and tell me how Auntie Mack is and do try and come over as Soon as the weather gets Settled. Am feeling better today. We have been having Some verry cold weather. how is Karl we have no heard frome him Since you wrote Lillie wrote Kate. Wish I had thair when Will and Laura ware thair we could have a good visite. Was Sorry to hear Dant was not well they are having thair own troubles this winter We have all been Sick with this cold but Stanely. You never told me any thing about your new teeth how do you like them. how are you this winter and what are you doing I am knitting over my black sweater have knitte Hilda a dress Since Xmas. Thair is ice boat races hear to day wish Billie was hear to See them. Aunt Rachel fell and broke her leg last Wedensday they took her to the Hospital Sunday and Set her leg yesterday it is broken between the hip and knee but they Say She Suffer at all our Minister went over to See her yesterday he Said She was bright and cheerful Said She wasn�t in any pain but I heard the doctors Said She would never get over it I want to go over to See her as Soon as my cold is better I haven�t been any place Since Christmas we Spent Christmas at Georges. Minnie goes to School every day. We have been looking for Olive the Stages Come every day now the Kennys are comeing over Soon She could come with them Lillie was down to Georges all last week. I want to go down to help Inez with Some quilts a little later. Would like to have a good visite with you. William and I went down to George�s and stayed ten days. it cold and Stormy all the time we was thair. Aunt Rachel died when we was down thair. We went to the funeral from Geo I went to the hospital to See her She knew me and asked about every body told me she had a letter frome you and one frome Edith Will Dixon and Willie D. and his wife and Lottie and her husband and Louise came to See her Will and Willie Charlie Dixon and Lottie man come to the funeral. Dot went over and Stayed one night with her and a couple of days in the day time I had a bad cold and could go if She had been home I could helped to taken care of her but I didn�t feel I could go to the hospital She Suffer So at the last. I Will Send you the peice that was in the paper. The pallbearers was Will Charlie Willie Dixon Voltie and Lottie husband and George Woodman. I think I have told you all. Dot and Minnie have gone out to her fathers went yesterday George and Inez & Hilda was up and spent the day to day Hilda is So cute.
