"Julia Connors, daughter of John and Katherine Doan Connors, was born in
County Tipperary, Ireland, June 13, 1837.
She was third of the family of five children that immigrated to America in
1852. They were Ellen, wife of Thomas Landry, John, Mary, wife of Harry
Prugh and Margaret, wife of Etheral Wilson.
Of this family, all have passed into the great beyond excepting Margaret.
She was united in marriage to George Cooper Prugh Sept. 15, 1859, this union
being blessed with four children, Effie, wife of John A. Evans, William R.,
Thomas J., and Lewis B. all of whom survive also the husband, seven
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a great reader of current events and her remarkable memory made her
an interesting conversationalist.
Always keeping in touch with relationships she was authority on the history
of the Prugh and Wilson families.
Her hospitality was unlimited and all friends and relatives will miss her
genial manner and the cheerfulness of her sitting room that had become almost
a common gathering place.
She was an indulgent wife and mother and was never happier than when she was
entertaining her family and friends.
Her mission in life being filled to her satisfaction she passed from the
living without a regret and had said that she would enjoy living the same
life again."
