Elizabeth Craig was born in 1718 at
Edinburgh, Scotland. She was the daughter of
John Craig and
Elizabeth Moir. She married
James Knox Sr. between 1735 and 1739. She migrated with
James Knox Sr. in 1752. In 1752, James moved his family from Scotland to Co. Antrim, Ireland, by heading down the River Clyde and then across the Irish Sea, landing in Belfast, Ireland.. Elizabeth was the spouse of
James Knox Sr. when he immigrated in March 1767. Elizabeth Craig was migration in 1788 at
Crab Orchard, Madison Co., Kentucky; Around 1788, Elizabeth moved from South Carolina to Crab Orchard, Kentucky with several of her children. She died in 1822 at
Bedford Co., Tennessee.
