Barbara was born at York Co., Pennsylvania, on 30 May 1761. She was the daughter of Christian Cryzer and Elizabeth (?). She married Frederick Mauck Jr. at Frederick Co., Virginia, on 16 August 1783. Barbara Cryzer was tax roll in 1787 at Frederick Co., Virginia; In the 1787 and 1788 tax lists of Frederick Co., Virginia there is a Widow Mauck. It is very likely Barbara. She married Michael Mauck at Frederick Co., Virginia, on 21 October 1788. Barbara Cryzer was court - civil in 1811 at Augusta Co., Virginia; Barbara is also identified as the daughter of Christopher Cryser and husband of Michael Mauck in Augusta Co., VA Abstracts Vol II p. 156 by Lyman Chalkey which describes a court case heard in 1811. The record indicates Christopher Criser died 8 years prior and lists his children, including Barbara wife of Michael Mauck. Christopher Cryzer's wife is identified as Elizabeth in another Frederick Co., Virginia deed. Barbara died circa April 1830.

Christian Cryzer was land contract on 15 November 1819 at Front Royal, Warren Co., Virginia; Christopher and Elizabeth Crizer, in a deed dated 15 Nov 1819 where Michael and Barbara Mauck received 41 1/2 acres on what would become Chester St. in Front Royal, Virginia. This land was described as being on Happy Creek.
