     Amanda Daron was born circa 1845 at York Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Philip Daron and Eliza Wolf. Amanda Daron married Samuel Wilgus. Amanda Daron died on 2 January 1929. She was New Tag Obituary from a 3 January 1929 York newspaper:

"Mrs. Amanda Wilgus

Mrs. Amanda Wilgus, 84 years old, widow of Samuel Wilgus, who died about four years ago, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John H. Henderson, Marietta, following a lingering illness from a complication of diseases. She was born in York county, but for the past forty-five years had resided at Maytown. She was a member of the Church of God and was the oldest woman in Maytown. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ida, wife of John H. Henderson; one brother, Edward Daron, York and two sisters, Mrs. Leah Hall, York and Mrs. Alice Dellinger, Hallam.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from her late home, with services in charge of Rev. J.W. Gable, of Enhaut, a former pastor of the Maytown Church of God, assisted by Rev. Raymond C. Bair, pastor of the Maytown Church of God. Burial will be in the Union cemetery, Maytown."
