Albert was born at
Springgarden Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, on 14 February 1875. He was the son of
Henry Dellinger and
Mary Gingerich. He married
Alice Anne Barton at
York Co., Pennsylvania, on 24 April 1902. He married
Mary E. Rutter at
York Co., Pennsylvania, on 18 March 1926. He made a will at
York Co., Pennsylvania, on 14 November 1941. Albert died on 24 January 1945 at
Manchester Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 69. He was New Tag Obituary from a 25 Jan 1945 York newspaper:
"Albert V. Dellinger
Albert V. Dellinger, 2003 North George street, died at 9:55 o'clock yesterday morning at the York hospital where he had been a patient about a week. He was 69 years old.
Mr. Dellinger was superintendent of the Neuman Sand and Supply company for the past __ years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Rutter Dellinger, four children, Lloyd A. Dellinger, York R.D. 5; Edward B. Dellinger, Stewartstown; Mrs. E. Ernest McCall, 248 West Maple street and Mrs. Richard E. Pentz, York R.D. 5; six grandchildren and two brothers, Bertram Dellinger, Jacobus, and Charles A. Dellinger, 135 North Newberry street.
Mr. Dellinger was a member of the Liberty Fire company, North York; the Fireman's Relief Assocaition of that company, Captain M. Ruhl camp, No. 33; Sons of Union Veterans and the Orient and Red Men lodges.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence, with Rev. Howard O. Walker, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery."
Another obituary states that Albert was 69 years, 11 months and 10 days old at the time of his death. On 25 January 1945 at
Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. His body was interred on 27 January 1945 at
North York, York Co., Pennsylvania, at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Funeral notice from a York newspaper:
"Albert V. Dellinger
The funeral of Albert V. Dellinger, who died at the York hospital on Wednesday, was held at 2 p.m. today from his home, 2003 North George street. The Rev. Howard O. Walker officiated. The pallbearers were Harry, George, Morgan, Lester and Willis Billet and Earl Dellinger. Burial was in Prospect Hlll Cemetery."
