Allen was born at
Lower Windsor Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, on 3 February 1927. He was the son of
Morgan McKinley Dellinger and
Annie Glatfelter. Allen died on 25 December 1993 at

DOVER TOWNSHIP - Allen "Dick" Dellinger, 66, of Dover Township, died at 9:21 a.m. Saturday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Wood) Dellinger. The couple would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary April 8, 1994.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dellinger was born Feb. 3, 1927 in Yorkana. He was the son of the late Morgan M. and Annie (Glatfelter) Dellinger.
He was owner and operator of Dellinger's Service in York for 30 years and a former mechanic for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Shiloh American Legion and a square dance caller of 30 years.
Mr. Dellinger also is survived by four sons, Allen E. Dellinger of Red Lion, Garlyn S. Dellinger of Windsor, Jeffrey R. Dellinger of York, and Faron K. Dellinger of Dover; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Harold Dellinger, Richard Dellinger, Marlyn Dellinger and Robert Dellinger, all of York. Mr. Dellinger was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Dellinger, who died May 10, 1944.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard B. Starr.
