     Daniel was born on 18 September 1816. He was the son of Peter Dellinger and Margaret Haines. He married Frances Houser at Lincoln Co., North Carolina, on 27 February 1840. Daniel reported for active duty. He was the defendant in a lawsuit at Superior Court, Lincoln Co., North Carolina, in 1885. Daniel died on 4 July 1909 at age 92. His body was interred in July 1909 at Cherryville, Gaston Co., North Carolina, at Bethpage Lutheran Cemetery.
