     Daniel was born at York Co., Pennsylvania, on 15 May 1855. He was the son of Daniel Dellinger and Catherine (?). He married Emma Jane Miller at York Co., Pennsylvania. Daniel died on 21 July 1928 at Middletown, York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 73. His body was interred on 25 July 1928 at Red Lion, York Co., Pennsylvania, at Red Lion Cemetery. Funeral notice from a 25 July 1928 York Co. newspaper:

"Daniel Dellinger Buried

Daniel Dellinger, a former resident of this place, who died at his home in Middletown last Saturday afternoon, was buried here today. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Middletown United Brethren church by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Guyer, assisted by Rev. Mr. Esbenshade, pastor of the Middletown Methodist church. Immediately after the service the cortege proceeded to this place, arriving here at 4 o'clock. The body was interred in Fairmont cemetery. A large number of friends viewed the body at the cemetery."

"Former Resident Dies

Daniel Dellinger, a former resident of this place died of brights disease at his home at Middletown on Saturday, 2:15 p.m. The funeral will be held at the United Brethren church, Middletown. Interment will be made in Fairmount cemetery, Red Lion. The body is expected to arrive here about 4 o'clock, and an opportunity will be given friends to view the body at the cemetery. Mr. Dellinger's first wife lost her life in a trolley accident on a Sunday school excursion fourteen years ago. Surviving him besides his wife are the following children: Curvin N. Dellinger and Mrs. John Matthews, of this place; Mrs. Artus Kauffman, of Dallastown; and Stewart Dellinger, of Minneapolis, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Wallick, Dallastown."

"David Dellinger

EAST PROSPECT, Dec. 4 - David Dellinger, near this place, died yesterday morning at 5 o'clock at his residence. He was 89 years old and had suffered a fall in April, which made it necessary for him to remain in bed most of the time. His survivors are two daughters, Mary Dellinger, at home, and Mrs. Perry Kuntz, 612 South street, York; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and five brothers and sisters: Samuel Dellinger, Wrightsville; George and Susan Dellinger, York R.D. 3; Mrs. Charles Crumbling, Hallam R.D. 1, and Mrs. Elizabeth Spyker, Red Lion. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of East Prospect and the Canadochly Lutheran church and Sunday school. The funeral will be held from the Purd A. Reidel Funeral home, Dallastown, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. T. Glenn Hafer, pastor of the church of which he was a member will officiate. Interment will be in the Canadochly cemetery."
