George William Dellinger was born circa 1903. He was the son of
George S. Dellinger and
Bertha A. Stabley. George William Dellinger married
Virginia Eliane Gannett, daughter of
Malcolm F. Gannett and
Kathleen Campbell, on 19 August 1939; Marriage announcement from a 21 August 1939 York Co., Pennsylvania newspaper:
"DELLINGER - GANNETT
Miss Virginia Eliane Gannett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm F. Gannett, Locust Manor, 320 South Richland avenue, became the bride of George William Dellinger, son of George S. Dellinger, 231 Harding court at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.
The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. Mervis Weltry, pastor of Second United Brethren church in the presence of relatives.
The bride wore a white silk jersey dress with large hat to match, and her flowers were white orchids and gardenias. After a wedding breakfast, the couple left for a trop to the Pocono mountains and New York city. For traveling, the bride wore a navy sheer silk redingote trimmed with white. The couple will be at home after September 8, at 231 Harding court."
