     George Washington Dellinger was born on 1 September 1828 at Pennsylvania. He was the son of Frederick Dellinger and Mary Shine. George Washington Dellinger married Mary Catherine Wilch, daughter of John Tobias Wilch and Margaret Elizabeth Young, on 3 March 1855 at Hancock Co., Ohio. George Washington Dellinger was land contract in 1865 at Pulaski Co., Indiana; In the fall of 1865, George bought 180 acres of land in Tippecanoe Twp. and Harrison Twp., Pulaski Co., Indiana. According to a post on the Dellinger Genforum at http://genforum.genealogy.com/dellinger/messages/30.html by Nancy Coder Bangel, her husband's family has a line of George Washington Dellinger's, which she has traced back to one who was born in Pennsylvania in 1829 and who married Catherine Wilch or Welch. He died on 2 February 1866 at Pulaski Co., Indiana, at age 37; George was cutting timber with several neighbors, including John and Silas Smith, when a tree fell and a limb struck him and killed him instantly. He was buried in February 1866 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Fulton Co., Indiana.

Gannett and Kathleen Campbell, on 19 August 1939; Marriage announcement from a 21 August 1939 York Co., Pennsylvania newspaper:

"DELLINGER - GANNETT

Miss Virginia Eliane Gannett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm F. Gannett, Locust Manor, 320 South Richland avenue, became the bride of George William Dellinger, son of George S. Dellinger, 231 Harding court at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.

The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. Mervis Weltry, pastor of Second United Brethren church in the presence of relatives.

The bride wore a white silk jersey dress with large hat to match, and her flowers were white orchids and gardenias. After a wedding breakfast, the couple left for a trop to the Pocono mountains and New York city. For traveling, the bride wore a navy sheer silk redingote trimmed with white. The couple will be at home after September 8, at 231 Harding court."
