Henry was born at
York Co., Pennsylvania, on 6 May 1783. He was the son of
Frederick Dellinger and
Anna Maria Wolff. He married
Catherine Cromley at
Washington Co., Maryland, on 25 January 1805. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1830 Census at
Election District 2, Washington Co., Maryland. He left a will on 23 February 1831 at
Washington Co., Maryland; The Last Will and Testament of Henry Dellinger, dec'd.
In the name of God, Amen.
I, Henry Dellinger of Washington County and State of Maryland being of a sound and disposing mind, considering the uncertainty of life and the certainity of death, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs do make and publish this my last will and Testament.
1. It is my desire that all my just debts shall be paid by my Executor hereafter named.
2. I will and bequeath to my beloved and affectionate wife Catherine all my personal estate to be used and disposed of as she may think advisable and all my Real estate during her natural life time, and at her death to be disposed of according to law (i.e.) to be equally divided among all my children namely Joseph S. Dellinger, Mary Dellinger, Henry W. Dellinger, Samuel B. Dellinger, Frederick D. Dellinger, Nancy F. Dellinger, Ellen F. Dellinger and Jacob W. Dellinger.
3. I do hereby appoint and constitute Alexander Neill, Sen. my Executor and my wife Catherine my Executrix, and I do hereby Ratify and confirm this and none other to be my last Will and Testament.
In testimony whereob I have here unto set my hand and affix my seal this 23rh day of February A.D. 1831.

He died on 3 March 1831 at
Washington Co., Maryland, at age 47. He was buried in March 1831 at
