Chanceford Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of
William H. Dellinger and
Mary J. Matthews. Horace Joseph Dellinger died on 14 February 1998 at

Horace J. "Joe" Dellinger of Brogue died at 8:19 p.m. Feb. 14 at York Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 73.
Mr. Dellinger was a farmer for 15 years, had been a construction worker for Sechrist & Anderson for five years, was founder of and worked at Collinsville Drive Inn for 22 years and was a heavy-equipment operator at Gary Wolford Inc. for 10 years.
He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Airville.
He was a member of New Bridgeville and Airville fire companies, Red Lion Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 649, Harrisburg Consistory, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Zembo Shrine and York County Shrine Club.
Born in Chanceford Township, Dec. 5, 1924, he was a son of the late William and Mary Matthews.
He leaves his wife, Eleanora M. Waltemyer Dellinger, with whom he celebrated a 52 nd wedding anniversary Jan. 6; five daughters, Sandy J. Royer, Brogue, Patsy A. Brown, New Park, Linda M. Hake, Brogue, Shirl M. Jordan, Airville, and Wendi J. Kaufman, Rehoboth Beach, Del; 11 grandchildren; a step-grandaughter; three step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley G. Dellinger, Brogue and Woodrow W. Dellinger, Airville; and a sister, Charlotte Druck, Airville.
Viewings are from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a Masonic rites service at 8:45 p.m. by Red Lion F & AM, at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion; and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at McKendree United Methodist Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville. The service is 2 p.m. Thursday at McKendree United Methodist Church with his pastor, the Rev. J.P. Bohanan, officiating.
Burial is in McKendree United Methodist Cemetery.
