Highmount, Feb. 20 - Miss Esther Hilt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hilt, and John Henry Dellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dellinger, both of Hallam RD 1, were united in marriage at a candlelight service Saturday evening in the Fairmount Evangelical church. The ring ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rev. D. Philip Smeltzer, in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends.
The bride was attired in a blue gown and white accessories - and wore a veil and halo of orange blossoms, and a corsage of pink rosebuds and sweetpeas. Her sister, Miss Myrtle Hilt, who was maid of honor, wora an aqua gown and hat and had a corsage of yellow rosebuds and daisies. The best man was Elmer Hilt, brother of the bride, and the ushers were Lester Fahringer and Lawrence Hilt.
Mrs. George White was the organist, playing 'The Bridal Chorus,' 'Blest Be the Tie That Binds,' and the 'Wedding March.' George White sang 'Sweet Mystery of Life' and 'Oh Promise Me.'"

John H. Dellinger of Hellam Township (Highmount) died at 4:37 a.m. yesterday at Altoona General Hospital, Blair County. He was 79.
He was an inspector for Campbell Chain Co., retiring after 37 years of service, served in the Army during World War II, was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Born May 5, 1915, in Hellam Township, he was the son of the late Walter L. and Nanna K. Abel Dellinger. He was the husband of the late Esther D. Hilt Dellinger.
He leaves a daughter, Faye A. Fahringer, Hellam Township; a son, David J. Dellinger, Hellam Township; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Victoria Winebrenner, Wrightsville.
Viewing is 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow at Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5847 Furnace Road. The service is at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the church with the Rev. David J. Armstrong, pastor of Locust Street United Methodist Church, Wrightsville, officiating.
Burial wil be in Highmount Cemetery.
