John W. Dellinger was born on 22 April 1924 at
York, York Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of
John H. Dellinger and
Cora Sechrist. John W. Dellinger married
Mary Ellen Stambaugh, daughter of
Albert C. Stambaugh and
Bertha E. Berkheimer. John W. Dellinger died on 31 January 1989 at age 64. He was New Tag Obituary from 2 Feb. 1989 York Dispatch:

John W. Dellinger, 64, of York, died Tuesday at 11:05 p.m. at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was the husband of Maryellen Stambaugh Dellinger.
Mr. Dellinger was a draftsman for York International for 22 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with Company C of the 317th Infantry Regiment. He received the European and African-Middle East theater ribbons with two bronze stars. He received the Purple Heart Jan 16, 1945 while serving with the 80th division. He was a member of Pleasureville American Legion Post No. 799, the Kreutz Creek Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7045, the Victory Athletic Association and was vice-president at the time of his death, Girard Athletic Association and the 12th Ward Democratic Club.
He was born April 22, 1924, in York, son of the late John and Mae Sechrist Dellinger.

A son - John A. Dellinger, York
A grandson.
A sister - Phyllis Anderson, York.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., Shiloh, with the Rev. Robert L. Anderson, his pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery and the York County Veterans Honor guard will conduct graveside military rites.
