Mr. Paul Hampton Dellinger, Sr., age 77, of 3313 Laboratory Rd.,
Lincolnton died Sunday, January 21, 2007.
His funeral will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, at Warlick Funeral
Home Chapel with burial to follow at Coral Park Baptist Church
Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, January 23, at Warlick Funeral Home.
A native of Lincoln County, born September 1, 1929, he was a WWII
veteran and a member of the Sons of Confederate Soldiers. He had a
lifetime membership with Broadriver Genealogy Society and was a
member of the Lincoln County Historical Society. He was also
publisher of the Gaston County Heritage book along with being the
author of "The Descendants of George and Jacob Dellinger." Paul was a
member of the Coral Park Baptist Church and was the developer of the
Coral Park Subdivision. He was the owner of Barbeque Barn in Boger
City.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Dellinger; two sons, Jacob
Dellinger and Paul Hampton Dellinger, Jr; three daughters, Cynthia
Dellinger, Carolyn Dellinger Farmer, Julie Dellinger Avery; two God-
daughters, Crystal Little and Tammy Carpenter; seven grandchildren,
Ronnie Bryant, Vincent Allegor, Conrad Hallman, Nelson Hallman, Jamie
Ewing, Shelly Bass, Vonley Woodruff II; twelve great-grandchildren.
