Mr. Paul Hampton Dellinger, Sr., age 77, of 3313 Laboratory Rd.,
Lincolnton died Sunday, January 21, 2007.

His funeral will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, at Warlick Funeral
Home Chapel with burial to follow at Coral Park Baptist Church
Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, January 23, at Warlick Funeral Home.

A native of Lincoln County, born September 1, 1929, he was a WWII
veteran and a member of the Sons of Confederate Soldiers. He had a
lifetime membership with Broadriver Genealogy Society and was a
member of the Lincoln County Historical Society. He was also
publisher of the Gaston County Heritage book along with being the
author of "The Descendants of George and Jacob Dellinger." Paul was a
member of the Coral Park Baptist Church and was the developer of the
Coral Park Subdivision. He was the owner of Barbeque Barn in Boger
City.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Dellinger; two sons, Jacob
Dellinger and Paul Hampton Dellinger, Jr; three daughters, Cynthia
Dellinger, Carolyn Dellinger Farmer, Julie Dellinger Avery; two God-
daughters, Crystal Little and Tammy Carpenter; seven grandchildren,
Ronnie Bryant, Vincent Allegor, Conrad Hallman, Nelson Hallman, Jamie
Ewing, Shelly Bass, Vonley Woodruff II; twelve great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Coral Park Baptist Church, Springs East Rd.,
Lincolnton, NC 28092 or Riverview Baptist Church, Riverview Rd.,
Lincolnton, NC 28092.

He was the son of Paul E. Dellinger and Carrie Malverna Hannigan. He married Janet May Benedict at Wrightsville, York Co., Pennsylvania, on 6 April 1940. Reynolds and Whitcomb employee

York - Paul H. "Junior" Dellinger, 78, of Springettsbury Township, formerly of Luray, Va., died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Alice (Stinson) Dellinger.

The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in East Prospect, with military rites by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Dellinger was born Aug. 15, 1921, in East Prospect. He was the son of the late Paul E. and Carrie (Hannigan) Dellinger.

He delivered auto parts for Reynolds and Whitcomb in York. Prior to that, he was a truck driver for Eli Wagner and for Eazor Express, both of York, and worked at Bowen and McGlaughlin Inc. in York. He also was the personal driver for H.T.N. Graves, who owned Luray Caverns in Virginia. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Eastside Church and Ministries Center in York, Shiloh American Legion Post 791 in York, Kreutz Creek Vally Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7045 in Hellam and Teamsters Union Local 430.

Mr. Dellinger also is survived by a daughter, Jeanette M. Ott of Columbia; two stepsons, Charles C. Wood of Rileyville, Va., and David A. Schroyer of Red Lion; two stepdaughters, Sandra L. McGlaughin of Craley and Terri L. Schroyer of York; a foster daughter, Jessica Heidlebaugh of Red Lion; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Dellinger was preceded in death by a son, Paul H. Dellinger, Jr., and a stepson, Daniel M. Schroyer.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Donald R. Belch.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion 17356; or to Eastside Church and Ministries Center Building Fund, P.O. Box 3130 York 17402."
