Martha J. May. William died on 4 April 1916 at
York Hospital, York, York Co., Pennsylvania. He was buried on 7 April 1916 at
Lutheran Cemetery, East Manchester Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania; A funeral notice from a 8 April 1916 newspaper:
"WILLIAM S. DELLINGER
The funeral of William S. Dellinger a tipstaff in the York county courts who died in the York hospital last Tuesday morning, was held yesterday morning. Brief services were conducted at 9:30 o'clock at the home of his son, George S. Dellinger, 126 East Maple street, with whom he resided, by Rev. J.P. Koontz, pastor of the Second United Brethren church, Duke and South streets. The body was then taken to Manchester, wher further services were held. The tipstaffer of the York courts, with delegations of Chosen Knights commandery, No. 174 Ancient and Illustrious Order Knights of Malta, and Ivy castle, No. 134, Ancient Order Knights of the Mystic Chain, acted as pall bearers. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Manchester."
