He married Lorena Greathouse. John was divorced from Lorena Greathouse. He married Martha Ann Greathouse in June 1866. John died on 6 September 1896 at age 61. His body was interred in September 1896 at Grand Tower, Jackson Co., Illinois, at Walker Hill Cemetery.

John J. Dillinger (M)

     John J. Dillinger was born; According to Lucille Dillinger Alexander, the author of "Dillinger, Crane, Cleeton, Beck families of Sullivan Co., Missouri and their ancestors", John is likely a son of another John Dillinger who was from Virginia.

Jo Neely states taht John K. Dillinger is the son of John Dillinger and Mary Ross. She goes on to state that the elder John Dillinger is a son of Christian Dillinger and Magdelena Andreck. This Christian Dillinger is said to be the son of Johann Georg Döllinger.

The only problem with this scenario, Christian and Magdelena Dellinger are not known to of had a son John. He married Fanny May Wright between 1782 and 1798 at Virginia.
