John P. Ferree and
Mary Anne Stump. She married
Chester Elwood Dellinger at

Piano Teacher
York - Violet R. Dellinger, 92, of Spring Garden Township, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at her home. She was the wife of the late Chester E. Dellinger.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 32 W. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church parlor. The Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries, Inc., South Queen and Jackson streets, York is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dellinger was born March 5, 1908 in Spry. She was the daughter of the late John P. and Mary Anne (Stump) Ferree.
She worked for her late husband, who was a tax collector in Spring Garden Township, for 35 years, and she was a piano teacher and artist. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where she was the church organist and played the piano for its Sunday school; attended Peabody School of Music and Lebanon Valley College; and was a former member of the Matinee Music Church.
Mrs. Dellinger is survived by three daughter, Nena D. McGill of York; Anna Lee Burroughs of Charlotte, N.C; and Beverly J. Barranco of Lutherville, Md; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Mrs. Dellinger was preceded in death by a daughter, Tolly J. Leaman; and a grandson.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Terri L. Young, and her visitation pastor, the Rev. Richard Benner.
