Virginia Eliane Gannett was born on 22 November 1911 at
Washington, District of Columbia. She was the daughter of
Malcolm F. Gannett and
Kathleen Campbell. Virginia Eliane Gannett married
George William Dellinger, son of
George S. Dellinger and

Miss Virginia Eliane Gannett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm F. Gannett, Locust Manor, 320 South Richland avenue, became the bride of George William Dellinger, son of George S. Dellinger, 231 Harding court at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.
The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. Mervis Weltry, pastor of Second United Brethren church in the presence of relatives.
The bride wore a white silk jersey dress with large hat to match, and her flowers were white orchids and gardenias. After a wedding breakfast, the couple left for a trop to the Pocono mountains and New York city. For traveling, the bride wore a navy sheer silk redingote trimmed with white. The couple will be at home after September 8, at 231 Harding court." Virginia Eliane Gannett died on 11 November 1986 at

Mrs. Virginia E. Gannett Dellinger, 74, of 1930 Kenneth Road, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at York Hospital.
She was the wife of the late George W. Dellinger.
She was born in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of the late Malcolm F. and Kathleen Campbell Gannett.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the church choir and was president of the Lutheran Church Women of St. Paul's church. She was director of the Altar Guild.
She was a member of the board of directors of the Women's Auxiliary of York Symphony Association, immediate past director of York Hospital, the East Your Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, member of the Historical Society of York County and the auxiliary, past president of the Suburban Garden Club, a member 28 years of the Woman's Club of York and former member of the board of directors, past president of the Greater York Branch of the York Hospital Auxiliary, and a member of the Springfield Apartments Tenant Council.
Survivors include:
A daugher - Cassandra Dellinger Sewell, 3115 Cypress Road, Dover.
A son - George M. Dellinger, Washington, D.C.
Two grandchildren.
Two sisters - Kathlyn Gannett Bentzel, Bordentown, N.J. and Marilyn Gannett Granger, Spring Hill, Fla.
A brother - Harold E. Gannett, 2450 Wharton Road.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave. The Rev. Paul J. Kane and the Rev. Mark Walters, her pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
