Mary was born at
Springgarden Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, on 22 March 1845. She was the daughter of
Jacob Gingerich and
Catharine Kauffman. She married
Henry Dellinger at
York, York Co., Pennsylvania, on 10 May 1866. Mary was listed as
Henry Dellinger's wife on the 1880 Census at
Springgarden Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. Mary died on 1 January 1916 at
505 S. George St., York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 70. She was New Tag Obituary from a 3 January 1916 newspaper:
"MRS. MARY DELLINGER
Mrs. Mary Dellinger, widow of Henry Dellinger, aged seventy years, died at her residence, 505 South George street, this city, Saturday evening at 6 o'clock from a cerebral hemorriage. Death was sudden, the aged lady only becoming ill Friday evening. To survive are the following children: Albert, York R.F. D. No. 7; Bertram, Jacobus; Charles, at home; Mrs. Frank Billet, Mrs. Morgan Leader and Mrs. Samuel Beck, this city, and Mrs. W.A. Goesey, Binghamtom, New York. Nineteen grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held from the residence, 505 South George street, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Services will be conducted in Mt. Zion church by Rev. Adam Stumpf. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. On 3 January 1916 at
York Co., Pennsylvania. Her body was interred on 4 January 1916 at
Springettsbury Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, at Mt. Zion Cemetery. A funeral notice from a 5 January 1916 newspaper:
"MRS. MARY DELLINGER
Short funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Mary Dellinger were held at her late residence, 505 South George street, yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, after which the body was taken to Mt. Zion, where further services were held. Rev. Dr. Adam Stumpf, of this city, officiated at both services. Interment was made in Mt. Zion cemetery. The pallbearers were two sons of the deceased, Albert and Bertram Dellinger and two sons-in-law, Samuel Beck and Frank Billtet."
