As luck would have it, I began compiling my many years' of notes today. Am nearly blind after working on the computer for the last 8 hours, so am about to call it quits for the day. The below were found in GOUDY Bible Records as published in Ohio Records and Pioneer Families Vol II #1, Jan-Mar 1961. I don't know if your Goudy line ties into mine or not. I have found 3 John Goudy families in the Greene/Clark County area in Ohio and am in hopes I will find some links in all the material I have gathered over the years. Your John Goudy was from PA, but so was mine.

I will keep your query in my inbox and let you know if I find further information, which I'm sure I will. I believe I have a reference somewhere on the John Goudy/Amelia Scott marriage. But I have 6 3-ring binders plus a 10 inch pile of papers to finish sorting through. I have my direct ancestry in my PAF files, but want to get all the other Goudy data into a readable database of some kind.

John Goudy left a will on 1 February 1843 at Clark Co., Ohio; John Goudy's will was dated 1 Feb. 1843 and recorded on 19 Sep. 1843 in Clark Co., Ohio. He names his wife, Nancy, sons Alexander, John, Ambrose and daughters Recah Wolfe, Polly Buffenbarger, Betsy Poland, Isabella Rakestraw, Eliza Buffenbarger, Katharine Gowdy. The administrator of the estate was Washington Buffenbarger.
