MRS. P.E. DELLINGER IS TAKEN BY DEATH AT EAST PROSPECT
East Prospect, March 9 - Mrs. Carrie Malverna Dellinger, wife of Paul E. Dellinger, died at 4 o'clock this morning at her home here following a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. She was aged 54 years, one month and 24 days. Her sister and brother, Mrs. John W. Kline, this place, and Dr. R.S.K. Hannigan, of Wollaston, Massachusetts, are also ill, the latter seriously, at the present time.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Hannigan, Mrs. Dellinger has been a resident of this vicinity for nearly her entire life. She was charter member of True Blue council, No. 186, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, this place, and was an active member of the lodge, having been a member of the degree team for many years. She was also a member of Zion Evangelical church, this place.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Dellinger; three sons, Chester E. Dellinger, York; and Donald and Paul Dellinger, Jr., at home: two brothers, B.M. Hannigan, this place; and Dr. R.S.K. Hannigan, Wollaston, Mass; three sisters, Mrs. John W. Kline, this place; Mrs. Burman Fife, York; and Mrs. Harry Wagner, Wrightsville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, with a brief service at the late home at 2 p.m., and further services in Zion Evangelical church, this place. The pastor, Rev. C.D. Pewterbaugh, will officiate. Interment will be made in the East Prospect cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of George W. Anstine, local funeral director." On 9 March 1936 at
