That of Private Abel Arrives at Mother's Home In Hallam

VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA

Hallam, Aug. 3 - The body of Private Samuel Able, of Company C, 28th Infantry, arrived at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mary C. Abel, this afternoon. The body was bought from Washington to York, arriving here about noon today. The young man died of pneumonia in an army hospital in France, March 21, 1919. This is the third body of the soldiers of the county to be returned from France since the signing of the armistice. The young man was aged 18 years, 2 months and 9 days. He is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Mosrris Campbell and Mrs. Louise Reisinger, Wrightsville; Mrs. Nannie Dellinger, Highmount; Mrs. Victor Crumblilng, Mrs. Walter Sloat and Annie Abel, Hallam; Charles Abel, Canadochly, Wesley Abel, Akron, Ohio; Edwin Abel, Chanceford township, and Arthur Abel, Dallastown. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning from his mother's residence. Interment will be made in Highmount graveyard."
