Frances was born at
Washington Co., Indiana, on 7 January 1889. She was the daughter of
Jason Higgins and
Lowry Humphreys Baynes. Frances Lowry Higgins was graduated in 1906 at
Washington Co., Indiana; Frances graduated from high school in 1906. She then attended Indiana University for two years.
She taught for two years at a Quaker School in Blue River Twp., Washington Co., Indiana. She lived in 1935 at
Denver, Denver Co., Colorado. Author of "Once at Woodhall" and "Sweeper of the Skies" which was originally published by Harper & Row in 1935. "Once at Woodhall" is a book about her grandfather, Beezon Baynes and his farm, Woodhall. She was Frances worked at the Library of Congress. At
Washington, District of Columbia. Frances died on 5 February 1973 at
Washington, District of Columbia, at age 84.
