     Evaline was born at Knoxville, Knox Co., Tennessee, in July 1804. She married John Lonas at Knoxville, Knox Co., Tennessee, on 23 January 1823. Evaline died on 17 November 1829 at Knox Co., Tennessee, at age 25. Her body was interred in November 1829 at Knoxville, Knox Co., Tennessee, at Lonas Cemetery.

     Esther D. Hilt was born on 5 November 1919 at Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Nettie G. (?). Esther D. Hilt married John Henry Dellinger, son of Walter Linville Dellinger and Nana Kate Abel, on 18 February 1941 at Fairmount Evangelical Church, York Co., Pennsylvania; Marriage announcement from a 20 Feb 1941 York newspaper:

"Couple Married In
Highmount Church

Highmount, Feb. 20 - Miss Esther Hilt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hilt, and John Henry Dellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dellinger, both of Hallam RD 1, were united in marriage at a candlelight service Saturday evening in the Fairmount Evangelical church. The ring ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rev. D. Philip Smeltzer, in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends.

The bride was attired in a blue gown and white accessories - and wore a veil and halo of orange blossoms, and a corsage of pink rosebuds and sweetpeas. Her sister, Miss Myrtle Hilt, who was maid of honor, wora an aqua gown and hat and had a corsage of yellow rosebuds and daisies. The best man was Elmer Hilt, brother of the bride, and the ushers were Lester Fahringer and Lawrence Hilt.

Mrs. George White was the organist, playing 'The Bridal Chorus,' 'Blest Be the Tie That Binds,' and the 'Wedding March.' George White sang 'Sweet Mystery of Life' and 'Oh Promise Me.'"
Esther D. Hilt died on 22 June 1985 at York Hospital, York, York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 65. She was buried on 24 June 1985 at Highmount Cemetery, Hellam Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. She was New Tag Obituary from the Saturday 22 June 1985 York Dispatch:

"Mrs. John H. Dellinger

Mrs. Esther D. Dellinger, 65, of York RD 11, died at 3:30 a.m. today at York Hospital.

She was the wife of John H. Dellinger.

Mrs. Dellinger was born in Lancaster County, and was a daughter of the late William H and Nettie G. Hilt.

She was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church and Sunday School. Mrs. Dellinger was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Church Women.

Survivors include:

One daughter - Faye A. Fahringer, York RD 11.

A son - David J. Dellinger, York RD 11.

Three grandchildren.

Five brothers - Earl Hilt, York RD 12; Charles Hilt, York RD 11; John Hilt and Elmer Hilt, both of Hallam, and Lawrence Hilt, York.

Two sisters - Anna Eisenhart, York, and Myrtle Armold, York RD 11.

Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 700 Hellam St., Wrightsville.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount United Methodist Church, Highmount. The Rev. Warren A. Swank, her pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Highmount Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount United Methodist Church, RD 11, York, Pa. 17406."

"DELLINGER - On June 22, 1985 at 3:30 a.m. at the York Hospital, Esther D. Dellinger, wife of John H. Dellinger, York, RD 11, aged 65 yrs., 7mos., 17 days.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairmount U.M. Church, Highmount.

Interment in Highmount Cemetery.

Viewing Monday, 7-9 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc., 700 Hellam St. Wrightsville, at the Church Tuesday prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the Fairmount U.M. Church, RD 11, York, 17406."
