He was church membership in 1786 at Trinity Lutheran, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; Nicholas Hartley and his wife, Margaret are listed as newcomers to Trinity Lutheran Church of Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania in 1786. He was tax roll in 1788 at Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; In the 1788 tax rolls for Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania show that Nicholas Hartley was listed as a weaver and that he rented from George Odenwalt. He died circa 1795 at Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.

Johann Jacob Hörner immigrated on 11 October 1772; Came to America from Wurtenburg, Germany on the ship "Union," Charles Smith, ship master. Last from Plymouth, England Oct. 11, 1772. Johann died on 8 November 1837 at age 82.
