Catherine S. Keller was born in 1845 at
Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of
Daniel Keller and
Sarah Holtzapple. She married
Jacob L. Dietz. Catherine S. Keller died on 6 February 1930. She was New Tag Obituary from a 7 February 1930 York Co., Pennsylvania newspaper:
"MRS. CATHERINE DEITZ, 85, DIES AT HALLAM
Hallam, Feb. 7. - Mrs. Catherine Keller Dietz, widow of Jacob L. Dietz died last night at 10:15 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. Paul Shutt, Hallam. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. The deceased was 85 years old.
Mrs. Deitz leaves the following sons and daughters, Harvey K., Hallam; Charles, of York; Harry, of Hellam township; Jacob K., of Hallam; Mrs. Fannie Dellinger, York; Mrs. Aquilla Fauth, Hallam; Mrs. Alice Crumling, Hallam; Mrs. George B. Blessing, Hallam; Mrs. H. Paul Shutt, Hallam, and Miss Edna Kocher, Wrightsville; also 41 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. The following brothers and sisters survive: Frank Keller, address unknown; Webster Keller, of Dover; Daniel Keller, York; Mrs. Sarah Upp, Wrightsville; Mrs. Frances Krout, Lower Chanceford township; Mrs. Peter Miller, Canton, O; Mrs. William Crumling, Hallam.
Mrs. Dietz has been a resident of Hellam township and this place for sixty years. She has also been an active member of Trinity Reformed church for many years.
Private funeral services will be held from the Shutt home on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. Walter E. Garret, pastor of the Hallam Reformed church, officiating. The body will be viewed Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in charge of Funeral Director George W. Anstine, East Prospect."
