     Daniel Kindig was born circa 1857. He died on 10 March 1939. He was New Tag Obituary from a 11 March 1939 newspaper:

"Daniel Kindig

Daniel Kindig died at 2:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the residence of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest O. Dellinger, 769 Midland avenue, Manor Hill, follwing a lingering illness. Mr. Kindig who was 82 years old, had been bedfast four weeks.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran church and Sunday school, the Liberty Fire company of North York, Venus castle, Knights of Mystic Chain, Pleasureville and a member of the Relief association of the York Ice Machinery corporation, where he was employed for many years, having been a member of the Yorkco's 30-year club.

Mr. Kindig is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Ernest O. Dellinger; five grandchildren and seven step-children; three step-sisters, Mrs. Albert Plowman, York; Mrs. Joseph Nye, Pleasurevile, and Mrs. Peter Bohnert, New Haven, Conn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Guy B. Creep Funeral home at 849 East Market street, followed by concluding services in Mt. Zion Lutheran church. Rev. M.B. Helland, pastor of the Red Lion United Brethren circuit, will officiate. Interment will be made in Mt. Zion cemetery."
